Occasionally I've been seeing some topics about Scratch Day, and where it's going to be, because it's coming up soon. But I think some people are being confused.
Scratch Day, is a holiday. It's not an Olympic Games event that goes from place to place in the world, and it's not anything else. It's generally a holiday to celebrate Scratch. Many people like to organize events on Scratch Day so people can come together and celebrate and collaborate and share their projects, in real life. These aren't 'official events'. You can prepare your own event too. It can be something at your house so you can show scratch to your neighborhood, or you could make an event at your school for your town. Anything is fine. One Scratch Day event is at MIT. Its not special from any of the others, and it's just as interesting. It just happens to be one of the more popular events. The Scratch Day website is day.scratch.mit.edu. Just put day. in front of the main scratch website URL. On this website you can post any events you are hosting, you can get resources like a large Scratch Cat to print out, and you can discuss more about it on the forums.
If you have any other questions about Scratch Day, resources, what it's like at Scratch Day at MIT (I've been to it), or anything else, please ask me
