BEST MOVIE EVER!
Nah, that would be Back to the Future, Stepbrothers, The Hangover, or Zombieland.

They should have stuck closer to the book.
I really, really wanted to see Cerberus and there was no Cerberus.

What was the movie like? I read the book 3 years ago.

READ THE BOOK!! They changed the age of the main character so they could attract more audience! WHO CARES HOW OLD THE STUPID ACTOR IS! THEY DIDN"T MAKE HARRY POTTER 20 IN THE FIRST MOVIE and it's by the same director so

i wanted to see Ares! (and your right about the book thing) but i guess they both have the same idea. Grover is funny
and i think ares and clairse should be in the movie because if the're making the sea of monsters, well clairse plays a pretty big part in that book

If they forgot Ares and Clarise the fail. And what's with the Hydra, it's called the second book! Comon' give the book fans some thought when making a movie like this.

I also didn't like how the scenes were rushed along.
Plus that casino part got me angry. They just had to put Lady Gaga and Ke$ha in there, didn't they. It would've worked with Mindless Self Indulgence or something along those lines.

So what were the differences???

We need spoiler tags for that kind of thing.

Your right, they changed alot. However, I thought it was a pretty good movie. Here is why:
1. I am glad they changed his age. Seeing an 11 year old running around just doesn't make sense for me. Too young. They put some maturity into it, so that it was more believable and watchable. That age works in a book, not a movie. Plus, they wanted the relationship between Anabeth and Percy, which won't happen if they are still in elementary school.
2. The special effects were good as well. They weren't over done, and yet they weren't puppets either. Nice combination of things.
3. While the story diverted, it wasn't that bad, and I thought the new one was good. The pearls were a nnice touch, and they made all the important references, like the Lotus Hotel.
4. Halfwolf, you complain about not seeing cerberus? You instead saw Medusa, a Hydra, A fury, Hell hounds, the souless, a demon from dantes inferno, cenetaurs, a satyr, and the gods. The taxi driver was not very important, just a minor part for laughs, Who care if Mrs Dodds didn't die, she comes back anyways.
5. I do agree that while the battle with luke was good, I wish it had been Ares, not luke. That was the only part I was missing.
I enjoyed the movie.

Pokemaster12 said it was horrible, but I don't watch those movies so I wouldn't know.

You should go see it. It was pretty good.

Saw it last night, and I thought it was a good movie, but strayed from the book too much.
And why was Grover cool, funny, and getting married to 21 girls?

I just expected to see Cerberus, the Gatekeeper of Hell, since, you know, he's the gatekeeper.
I would've traded the hell hounds for him.
And I really wanted to see how they would portray Ares, but they decided to toss that out too.
It was a good movie despite some flaws.
Oh! My friends pointed this out, but you know when it shows Luke playing MW2? He's holding the PS3 controller but it's the Xbox360 version.

I was laughing like heck when I saw luke was a MW2 addict! He had like, a individual screen for a airstrike, a battle, and kill streaks! XD
