Snow forts in the Northeast!

There was a lot of snow this week in the New york/New Jersey area... And you know that means...

NO SCHOOL, HOT CHOCOLATE AND SNOW FORTS

I'm making a snow fort, using pretty much all the snow I have (a good half acre). It's gonna be epic, And I'll try to post pics up as soon as possible (If I can).

Anyway, post what you're doing with your snow.

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

In Minnesota, we have a lot of snow too. Someone made a snow tunnel under a 8 ft or so snow bank. I got stuck in it  lol

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

You know how I made a thread mentioning how I had a snow day?

Surprisingly enough, they forcasted it terribly, and we got 2 inches, instead of 5-8 XD

heh heh cool! we only have about a foot and a half here tops. But that's not a compromise when you have a 6 ft high hill in your front yard.

Although my area's climate generally does give us a good amount of snow, I never have the time or the interest to make one  tongue

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

I went sledding on a nice-sized pile of snow in our front yard, and then went to this enormous pile on the other side of the street where the plows had put everything. I only did that because there was tons of snow still on the ground, so if I crashed, (which I did a lot), I would hit snow, not pavement. Even though I fell off about 15 times, it was a lot of fun.

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

I've been making one for a day now, and i'm starting to add rooms to it. It's smal, but we only got a foot of snow.

I heard about one kid who got the city to dump 5 trucks of snow in his yard, and got all of his swim team to fit in it.

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

I have a two hour delat tomorrow, so I guess there's going to be MORE snow?

My friend made this amazing underground snow cave, you can sit up in it and everything, but it's only big enough for 1 person. I wish I had the patience to do that

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

In the UK we are just recovering from the worst snow we've had for nearly 40 years. The whole country was at a standstill. It was the same temperature as the south pole in northern Scotland. We cannot deal with snow at all. You guys probably have more and your country can deal with it. The UK sucks with dealing with snow. It's gone now though.  smile

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

We can deal with it in certain places in the US where we're used to it, like Boston and the Northeast. But in Washington DC, where they've been getting tons of it lately, they've really been buried.

Re: Snow forts in the Northeast!

There are so many homeless people living in the shelter near my building, and the sidewalks were covered in yellow snow in the morning. Good thing I drove today. Except the snow was all melted in the afternoon.
