Use red on white for an ad, that always attracts the eye.

The combination of the two just attracts the eye and makes it curious.

I'm most likely to look at:
- Topics with a good descriptive title.
Noting too vague. The more unique, the better.
- Topics whose first post gives a brief explanation of what the overall project is about.
Anything about game type or game play would be great (for example, is the game a platformer? Is it a puzzle adventure?)
- Pretty colorful stuff! 8D
... Just kidding
. But, really, images such as screenshots or character sheets would be awesome as they are visual clues and hints about the overall epicness of a game in general. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so one splash screen is enough for me.

Wait... we're talking about advertisements on projects?
I thought we were talking about real life - like billboards, and commercials xD

Colored in ad.

1. A title that has good capitalization, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling. It should also make sense.
Good Example:
Cannibarr's Quest for the Golden Cup
Bad Example:
msterr magics super cool thingy o awsomnes
2. Whatever you do, DON'T USE ALL CAPITALS IN YOUR THAT LOOK DEMANDING AND SAY THINGS LIKE CLICK HERE OR YOU DIE!!!!!
Good Example:
A really cool game: You should check it out!
Bad Example:
IF U DO NOT CLICK HERE SEVEN GHOSTS WILL COME TO UR HOPUSE AND EAT YOUR SOUL S CLICK THE LINK!!!!!!!!1! 7!!!!
3. Use softer, less spammish looking colors. (The examples are for if you are making a banner and need good colors)
Good Example:
|||||||||||||||
Bad Example:
|||||||||||||||
I hope this helped
