The site is very in consitant. the messages are never accurate (it says 1 message when i really have three, or nothing when i have five) and new projects appear on the home page and projects page differently.

I can answer one. I am pretty sure the project page shows ALL the newest projects, not just the ones on the front page. That is because since SO MANY projects are uploaded, the website doesn't show them all. Only a few. The message sytem does tend to get messed up, but if you give it 10 minutes it usually catches up.
