I was like that too, but everytime I felt I was getting moody, I thought in my head what made me upset, and if it's really worth being upset.
Then it often went over.

Before using that 'method' I got easily upset when someone made a wise remark, so I made a list of possible "contra-remarks" I could use in different situations 

Your mother is probably a nice person.

I don't find it easy to talk with my parents, at least not about things concerning puberty and such.
And when I have done stupid things they're really not easy to talk with
