I haven't really done any real programming in a long time so I want to try to make an improved version of one of my projects when all my assignments are finished next month. The project can be based on one of the following projects but if it has trademarked material the trademarked material will be replaced but the game will be the same.
There are the projects I am considering improving/finishing
Phoenix Wright
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/306848
//In hindsight, I could have made this one better, it needs better use of arrays
Mario Galaxy
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/169940
Pokemon RPG
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/182422
Scrolling platformer shooter engine
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/112445
bowling
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/101881
Fusion fighter beta
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/archmage/5760
You can suggest something else as well

The scrolling platformer shooter sounds awesome.

Phoenix Wright: I don't really like that game, so no thanks.
Mario Galaxy: This is a good idea, because currently, the engine is the best one that there pretty much is on scratch. Dolfus555's one isn't all that impressive to me... so yeah.
Pokemon RPG: As great as that would be, that would be long and difficult to make, so I don't recommend it.
Scrolling Platformer Engine: Nah...
Bowling: I'm going to give a thumbs up to this one. Its a simple idea, yet has lots of potential, considering it has never been accomplished on scratch, on a large scale.
Fusion Figher: Nah...

Um, RPG. I don't care what it is, but if it is possible, I think you are the only Scratcher who can do it. A full, top level rpg. It might not be fully sustainable for Scratch, but make it as real as it can get.

mario galaxy definately. any old person can make the other games but your galazy engine is the best one on the site in my opinion so i would use to make a great game.

Bowling's never been accomplished? I accept the challenge.

Yeah, Ace, you also accepted an RPG challenge that no one challenged you to. Try making an RPG first then move on.

Anything BUT the platformer shooter engine.
A fake 3d shooter might be cool, though.

Why fake he is archamage remember he can make a full 3d thing.

I'm finished with that for the most part (I need better graphics, but the programming's nearly done, besides the levels and speed/str).

Woah, wait, it isn't possible to make a true 3D shooter in scratch. What you are asking for is pretty hard and I am not sure I could manage that in AS either.

True 3D is impossible in scratch, but, like RHY shows, you can create limited 3D in scratch. My idea is that he probably means to use scrollX to represent rotation, and then have objects change their size and X and Y position when you zoom in.

Yep, pretty much.

No, making 3D environments go wayyyy beyond using common sense techniques like using scrollX to scroll a set of sprites.
I haven't really gone too much into 3D because I can't find a lot of practical uses for it but if I were to go in to 3D I would just adapt the techniques found @ http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/3dindex.htm
(Most of the more complex code that I can't make up on the spot comes from sites like this)
In order to make a sort of 3D wireframe I would adapt the code from this page http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/rotation_center.htm
A wireframe would be far to slow to run in the online player (I like all my projects to run online) and I am not sure if a zooming figure project (like this flash example http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/zooming.htm) would be considered 3D.

I'd say the platforming shooter.

The new archmage? (the realistic style archmage fan picture that someone drew)
Offline
If you are talking about my avatar pictures, I drew them all.
If there is any archmage fan art I'd like to see it

Oh I thought Illusionist drew one that one time.

Instead of making any one of those projects I am really tempted to do a recreation of the faith fighter flash game.
What do you guys think? Yay or Nay?
Offline
YAY!
An original project seems more practical to me. Remaking the others would be sort of like reinventing the wheel.

What do you think about remaking the faith fighter game? Its not original but its interesting and fun
