The Food Fight

In the past, people have been starting to know less and less of what they’re eating. A great example is cookies. What are store-bought cookies really made of? Some small brands make reall homemade cookies with simple ingredients. Others contain boatloads of harmful chemicals (like MSG; MSG from food sources can get into the brain, injuring and sometimes killing neurons). Also, many foods like corn and grains are genetically modified (GMO). The genetic manipulation of GMO food gives scientists the ability to create any trait that they wish, or suppress natural traits they don't want. There are several reasons this unnatural genetic manipulation may affect you. Genetic engineering can cause unexpected mutations in an organism, which can create new and higher levels of toxins in foods. Also, genetic engineering can also produce unforeseen and unknown allergens in foods.
What about milk? Milk producers advocate the benefits of calcium, vitamin D, and other nutrients, while detractors mention possible links to cancer or other diseases.
There are many alternatives.
Buy organic produce and non-GMO breads. Some alternatives are Dave’s Killer Bread, which is non-GMO as well as organic and contains many non-GMO grains. Instead of cows milk, try buying almond milk or hemp milk (that is non-GMO) or just cut down on milk. Many kids (and adults) have allergies to dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, corn, or wheat and gluten. Some people even have allergies to chemicals and MSG without even knowing since each new chemical used in food creates one more allergy that a child or adult can get.
Lead a healthy life, and help everyone live a healthy life too.
