Need help with PONG

So i have this pong game i made in class. Everything works fine except sometimes when the ball hits the paddle, it just goes through the paddle. Then sometimes it hits it and its fine. Whats going on? Please help

i tried using the code but it still wont work. Now it seems like it just goes through the paddles more then it bounces off of them

try slowing the ball down a bit, it might just be that its just jumping over the paddle. And also the computer might be slow...

Ill try slowing it down and i dont think its the computer because ive tried it on two different computers with the same results.

you never know, if they were both school ones then it wouldn't make much difference, if any.

you never know, if they were both school ones then it wouldn't make much difference, if any.

i used my home and my school computer

i believe so. i just downloaded the program the other day on my home computer so im guessing its 1.4
