am I missing something?

How do I get to the page where I can actually DO this scratch stuff myself instead of just reading about how to do it and what others have done? Where is the choice that says something like, "start", "new", "create"....how do I get to that page? !My kids can't even figure it out.

You can download the scratch program and press the file button (and then there's a new project option) if that's what you mean...

First you need to download scratch. Once you do that, you'll be able to create a project. When you want to upload it, just go to the "share" menu and select "share this project online".

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
