Sound won't end after tab closed
If my code was:
<when green flag clicked>
<play sound[ ]and waits>
after closing that tab the sound will still play until it ends or Java is exit

I noticed that too.
It's an old block that was removed. The forum blocks haven't been updated since Scratch 1.1.

I'm not sure... I joined Scratch when the current version was 1.2.1, and we had the newer block already.
EDIT: Wait, it probably is. There's nothing it's broadcasting, and you can't specify how long it waits, so judging from that, it probably is like the newer block. So the block was just renamed then, I suppose.

It's just lag. Even though it looks like you closed the project, the process might still be running. Usually it stops after a few seconds. Sometimes (but rarely) it just stays there and you have to quit Firefox or even terminate the Firefox process from the Task Manager if the sound still remains. (but instead of doing the last it's best to either exit the system or reboot, because terminating processes is not healthy 
)
So don't worry, it's nothing harmful and it happens to everyone. ^^

Just to add onto this for those who are not shy about terminating processes:
Try going into the task manager and seeing if a Java process is running - if so, terminate the Java process and that should stop the sound.
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease

I am running Windows 7 Intel Core Duo 2GB RAM Google Chrome newest Java, how could that be slow?

It's still prone to lag. 2GB RAM and Intel Core Duo are only just standard.
