Okay, thanks to a certain member, I have uncovered some details about the phishing website.
First of all, there is a fake Scratch team. If you receive an email from the Scratch team, open it. If it is from the Scratch website, DO NOT OPEN IT.
If you already opened it, do not click the link in the email.
If you already clicked the link and you are using firefox, it will tell you that it is a phishing site.
Otherwise, do NOT log in.
If you already have, I would suggest making a new Scratch account if you cannot log in.

I was going to ask that...
Yeah. It doesn't help if you don't know what to look for.

What kind of idiot would pull a stunt like this?
Speaking of which I have email problems. I have more than one email address, but I don't know which one I signed up for on scratch. Is there a way I can change my email to my new current one?

URL please?

A person with no life. I mean why would someone go through the trouble to make a "fake" Scratch website that they have to update the fake website a million times to have someone believe it is real. Also, they have to be idiots to think that the url will be the same as scratch.mit.edu ...

So, about my email?

I contacted the Scratch team about this. No, I don't know the URL, because I never pay attention, and I use the latest version of Firefox which defends you from things like this.
@Aceofspades: I think you can, but I'm not sure.

If you don't know the URL what is the point of contacting the Scratch Team...I mean if you contact the Scratch Team and say,
\
"OMG!! There is like a phishing site like it also took my account password and everything like
Also, like there was a fake email from you guys like im soo scared! Also, I didn't pay attention to the like URL. I hope you guys still understand..."
The Scratch Team would be like..."Yeah....sure...."
Also Firefox doesn't stop you from stuff like this...

A burning small red mammal. To find one, hunt for a fox, trap it, douse it in gasoline, light a match, throw match, run.
Then watch.
-------------------------------------------------
Firefox is also a flying fox superhero capable of breathing fire, I think.

If you say one more negative thing to me, I will remove your moderator privileges away from my forum. Watch what you say.
Anyway, I'm contacting my friend to see if he/she (I dunno) kept the email.

Thats wasn't negative. I was just pointing out that without knowing what the phishing site's domain name is then it is useless to tell the Scratch Team.
Anyways im sorry if it hurt your feelings.

without a url the scratch team can't really do anything. my advice: pay attention next time.
also who did it say the email was from? like what address. they may have an @domain.com registered to their phishing site's domain. so it would say @phisingsite.com maybe then u could find it.

I believe it was a gmail account. scratchwebsite@gmail.com. But I'm not sure.
They keep sending me the email. I am going to forward it to the Scratch team.

And just to let everyone know - we never email Scratchers out of the blue to ask for passwords, or anything for that matter! We just use email to respond to people who have contacted us from the "Contact Us" page on the website (linked at the bottom of every page). Our email address is help@scratch.mit.edu

So just follow that info and your safe
Also, don't open suspicious email or websites that DOES NOT have the same url as scratch.mit.edu
However, if you do then it would be helpful to notice the fake url and report it to the Scratch Team.
