I think it would be a good idea to redo the top loved system. Not add a rating, just changing the way that it decides what is best.
The title says "What the Community is Loving", so why does that mean that there is a 2-week age limit to all projects? Even if you said something like top loved recently, What the Community is Loving Recently etc. That would not have to mean that the project is less than a certain age. Instead, it would mean the project was loved within a certain time (like the project that got the most love-its in the last 2 weeks, but it can be years old). And then we could say that a project can only get on the front page in the loved section once to avoid people repeatedly pushing it back up.
This would really give people who make very complex projects, but don't upload much (so people see less of their projects, and know them less) as often more of a chance.
For example, User 1 has an amazing RPG game that everyone that saw loved. However, only about 4 people saw it. Gradually (few weeks), they tell their friends about it so that their friends look. And then it gets more love-its. Now it has something like 14 love-its. Then those friends tell more friends. And then it gets a lot more love-its, gaining in one week more than what the most loved on the front page has. However, the project is a month old.
Tell me what you think!

Indeed.
Projects should be showcased on top loved until the love-its go down.
It should be based on a love-its per 3 day system.

I think the love-it system is fine. Because at least on top-loved, I don't see announcements and stuff.

I'm saying that the love-it system is fine. But what project the computer picks to be front page isn't.

It's be nice to personalise the front page. I would have only Friends, Curator, Top Loved and Newest. Boo to Featured, Remixed and Viewed.

So... if a project is more than two weeks old, it can't get top loved?

I dislike featured. Nothing in there really appeals to me.

Yeah, featured isn't good because the scratch team wants to give new users a chance.
