Scratch

I was reading some very interesting forum topics and I discovered a piece of work I had wrote. It's about war. About terror. In response to all people who love the idea of a gun, a death, a kill. In my response and sadness for those whom have lost a loved one. In my response for whom wish to stop it:

War is great, isn't it?
Millions dead lie before you.
Bombs and murky sky blazing the once blue canvas above.
Your friend lies at your feet, his pulse gone, his soul burdens your heart.
Your senses have stopped and time and space continues,
you're lost in a few seconds.
In the corner of your eye,
a small object flies straight at your head.
but you don't move.
You hear crying, weeping, explosions,
but you realize that letter home was your last.
You see your family.
Devastated beyond belief as they are notified of your absence
and you will have died,
knowing you've killed someone,
knowing your friend is dead,
knowing you cannot stop this madness
knowing you have contributed to this
and worst of all, knowing
      this horrible reality, will continue far after.

War is great, isn't it?

The reason for my posting was because of a few war related threads and some comments I highly disagree with.
