You mean 4th lol
I just typed a paragraph and the stupid server froze and I lost the messageNo, he means 5th.....
Ace: 5th dimension isn't real
We are in the 3rd dimension
2D person: 4th dimension isn't real
They are in the 2nd dimension
It's not that hard to do the math

Actually, duration or time can't be represented as a dimension, rather as something that holds dimensions together. For something to exist, it has to have its position in multi-dimensional space and time.

Where does light speed incorporate into this?

Those last 3 are 3D, not 4D or 5D

You have 3D eyes, and cannot see the 4th dimension.

Actually, if we cast a 4D shadow of 5D 5d, we'll get a tesseract. Then, hypothetically, if the 4d shadow of 5d object is actually a 4d object, what if then cast it again to make a 3d shadow. I think that 3d shadow of 4d object may look like a solid object, but, like all shadows, it will be impossible to touch. Or my thinking goes all wrong.

*is very confused* ....My dad says there is no 4th dimension.

How is the terrasact 4 Dimensional? It's a fancy 3D shape, nothing more, possibly something less.

I thought the 4th dimension was fractals that occur all the time in nature

btw how do you make a thread

Here is what I think about the 4th dimension:
The first dimension is a line. To put it in the 2nd dimension, we square it. Then we get a square. To put it in the 3rd dimension, we cube it. So technically to put something in the fourth dimension, we have to cube a cube. Or perhaps do something else to a cube, like make you be able to see around it or something.
But I'm not a genius so I'm probably wrong.

Ace, your lack of mathematical knowledge overwhelms me. Go watch Cube 2: Hypercube.
That sounds hyper boring, so pass.
I probably know more math than you though.

If you put it that way, then we're all shadows cast by a higher being

Nope.

Hmmm....i'm not really sure how a three dimensional shadow could exist,as this would mean that light would need to bend around an area in the air to create a 3D shadow. However, physics can often defy common sense, and one may reason that in higher dimensions the laws of physics don't apply. What exactly is the fourth dimension, anyway?Einstein said it's time, but I can't imagine time being a physical object...so maybe the fourth dimension is just a higher level of perception. The way I see it,dimensions are just levels of depth and perception like layers of one-way mirrored glass;that is,higher dimensions can look down at lower dimensions, but lower dimensions themselves cannot be aware of higher dimensions than their own.

No wonder you can't see* it right with all those mirrored glasses in front of you.

I'm just saying it's physically impossible to project a true 4D object into our 3D world and be able to notice it...however,according to wikipedia, since we can represent a model of a 3D image on a 2D computer screen, then it could be possible to represent a 4D model into our 3D world.
