Well, the first thing to do is to refrain from defenestrating your computer.
After that, there are a couple of things you can do:
1) Break the scripts up. Do this by broadcasting from the end of one segment to the beginning of the next.
2) Try 1.3. This GUI is more stable and compact.
3) Close other programs.

You can also compress the images and the sounds but the thing is that this also reduce the quality to high extent. And billyeward's advice can also be taken. Breaking the scripts does help increase the speed and also reducing size
