Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the eastern hemisphere. 
They just recently had an 7.1 earthquake, and their buildings collapsed. They didn't have a code for building their houses, therefore they were all weak. So far they've had well over 50 aftershocks, and their hospital collapsed. 
There aren't any proper medics that can help right now, but the red cross is going to assist them. You can donate money or find ways to help by going here.
