I have seen a lot of religion based projects on the site. I have read the terms and conditions and there is something about it. I am sorry because I commented positivly on a catholic teachings project. I have also seen galleries that say "Christians Only". I just wanted to know if I can flag them. Can I?

Hmm. I don't read anything about religion projects being inappropriate in the Terms Of Use. In fact, I often enjoy looking at religion projects, if they do something nice and interesting, like animating a story or playing a song. What I don't much care about are projects containing just a single sprite without any program-script and just a bunch of texts, or - worse - provocative advertisements for beliefs or practices (like how you will go to hell if you don't do this or that). But I personally don't feel that these projects are inappropriate and should be flagged, as long as they're respectful.
I'd rather see an oecumenic "Pantheon" gallery than a "Christians only" gallery, but isn't this the same as a "sidescroller platform games only" gallery?
Anyway, I don't feel it's inappropriate, as long as these projects don't insult anyone.

Projects about religion are OK as long as they are respectful. The term "respectful" is very subjective and analyzed on a case by case basis. If you find a project being disrespectful please flag it and someone will take a look at it. Do not flag projects just because they talk about a religious topic.

Heh, "Biased" is pretty much the definition of every religion project I have seen on Scratch. "All other religions are false" kinda stuff. Though it doesn't bother me.
I have zero issues with people posting info, encouragement, or glorification of their religion, whatever it may be.
I will, however, respond rapidly to any project that spreads falsehoods in the name of religion, even if only through the project creator being misinformed rather than being a deliberate liar.
Seriously, guys, any god that requires you to tell lies for in order to try to convert people isn't worth believeing in in the first place.

ya, biased basically means favoring one thing over another. if you are a certain religion and you make a project about it, even if you dont say that that religion is better than others, you are still basically being biased.
but Mayhem, saying something you believe in isnt telling lies. If you say "god created everyone" or something, just because you dont think its true doesnt mean its a lie.

I'm talking about a large number of projects that have been posted containing provably false, debunked information attacking science. Mostly by the same user.

wat projects?

Heh - I have no intention of promoting them.

You shouldnt flag a religious project on this sit. Isnt there something like oh... say... "Freedom of Religion?" I mean if a project is bashing a religion shouldnt you just ignore it. You have a choice on whether or not to be offended. I dont see how anyone's opinion should matter if you have a strong belief of something. A posting of Satanism isnt going to make me change my religion so im not going to worry about it. It's your belief and im not going to complain.
Dont flag a religious project but if you dont want to see a certain religion displayed in a project then just dont go to that project. Simple as that

if it is insulting another religion, then maybe flag it, but otherwise, dont

I think there is always a way to share a religion in a kind way. You don't have to flag something you don't believe in, that is just being rude. There are many, many projects that voice their opinions in loving, kind ways that poeple flag which is disrespectful to the scratcher. If the scratcher insults other religions, ask them to change it insted of flagging it right away. If it doesn't change, then you can start flagging. This is a pretty safe way to flag projects.
I always flag comments that use inappropriate language imitiatly.

thanks for putting this post up on the forums, adriangl! a lot of people were saying not-nice things about my Christian projects, and I just put a link to this on the comments. I hope they all read this.
