Forum notices
I was thinking of 'forum notices'. Like project messages, only...from forums. So, all I'm saying that as well as displaying new messages from projects, you could display forum messages, too.
So, if someone replies to your message on another forum topic, it could say -
'andresmh has replied to your message on the 'Forum notices' topic.
Or, if someone has just commented on your topic, it could say -
'andresmh has commented on the 'Forum notices' topic'
So, maybe this could be put into consideration?

I can see what you are saying...but can't you already 'subscribe' to topics and then get email notices?

yeah,but who'd want go through the trouble of signing into their email,just to look at a sentence? this idea is good.
