If my students begin a Scratch project on a WINDOWS PC at home, can they bring the file to school and continue programming ON OUR MAC OS X SYSTEM COMPUTERS? Also, vice versa... can my students create a project on a Mac OS X machine and then CONTINUE PROGRAMMING IT ON THEIR WINDOWS PC MACHINE. This is a cross-platform question, not a transportation question. Thanks a lot! TimL

I think this will work!

Here's the simplest way to get your project onto a CD. Put a copy of your project (I will assume it is named "project.sb") plus the following files on a CD:
Scratch.exe
Scratch.image
Scratch.ini
ScratchPlugin.dll
Mpeg3Plugin.dll
license.txt
These files are all included in the Windows Scratch folder. (If you have a Macintosh but want to make your CD runnable on Windows, download WinScratch.zip from the Scratch download page.)
To run your project off the CD, double-click on Scratch.exe, then click the "open" button, then pick your project. (If you want Mac users to be able to run it, you should also add the file:
Scratch.app
from the Macintosh download of Scratch.
Try It!

One method that would certainly work would be to have them upload to the web from home and then pull it down again at school. No CD's required.
