I have Compaq Presario PC running with Windows 98. But I don't think it's particularly useful here. 
What's wrong with the CD drive?

Get a DVD drive then you can play the DVD games.
Whats wrong with it anyway?
Doesn't read disks?
Drive won't open?

My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Compaq Laptops are the WORST.
We have one, and the screen is about to come off.
Get a new laptop. Like a Toshiba.

@cheddargirl the CD/DVD Drive won't open at all. I think it's a loose cable. I'm going to open it and check
EDIT: Yep, it was a couple of cables unplugged. lol
