And Metroid Prime 3 was terrible. No puzzles. It was a shooter. Just a shooter. No puzzles. It was blam, blam, blam. Shoot all the time. Nothing to it. Easy, easy. Shooter. Nothing to stimulate your brain.
So are all Metroid Games IMO.
No, you-think-you-know-everything-kind-of-guy, not the other two Metroid Prime games. Most of the games' puzzles are frustratingly hard. Clearly you haven't played the GC ones.

Clearly you have an abnormality that you actually like first-person shooter games.

Metroid Prime is one of the hardest games you will play. Do you know how many times I have to circle through a level before reaching my destination(usually a difficult boss)?

Tell me, how do you kill this guy:![]()
You don't just shoot. Plus it's the easiest boss in the game, and for newcomers he can be somewhat difficult. Difficult because you don't know what to do.
What about for the Spider Guardian boss in Echoes?
You don't fire your beam once.
Let me tell you, Prime isn't a first person shooter. It's an adventure-puzzle game. If you play it, you'd agree with me.
The scan visor isn't in FPSs. It gives you information about virtually anything.
Plus the super-easy lock on: clearly it wasn't made for difficulty about shooting.
It was for the puzzles.

Hmm.... based on the leg positioning and the fact that its in the beginning of the game, that you have to kill it by *insert super awesomely detailed correct answer*

Too hard.

Exactly.
Nope, you're losing the argument.
Each panel reflects sunlight toward the giant plant guy. If it doesn't get sunlight, it gets weak.
The first time, you have to shoot a little panel at a specific point, making it fall to an angle in which it doesn't reflect the light. You can stun him by shooting him, but that won't lower his health.
Now, a root of his protruding from a small tunnel retracts. Get in to morph ball form, roll in, and set a bomb where his roots are. You'll hurt him, and the panel that you shot down returns to its original position. Now you have to lower two panels, then the next time three, then four.
If you take too long before shooting down all the panels, they'll all return to the original position.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Y'see, if you don't like puzzles, why play any game at all? The reason to play video games is to feel rewarded at the end. If there are no puzzles, there's no way to be rewarded 'cause it's all so easy, and there's no point in playing it.

It's too unviolent

When the legos die, their bodies rip apart limb from limb. How's that not violent?

Because Ike is way cooler of a character, even if he doesn't place well in tourneys.

Nah, that wasn't bad, but really, really easy. Play Ocarina.
Twilight Princess was easy for hardcore players.
I can tell this because I lent it to my friend (it's all she's been playing for the last week) and she's been dying all over the place and having a generally hard experience. She's using me as a guide since I've beat the game five times over and I know certain dungeons front and back.
It's still a fantastic game.
