Trigonometric Estimation using Graphs

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/RHY3756547/853797

You can estimate simultaneous equation results from a graph - so why not Trig functions?

This program plots a graph of either a sine or cosine wave (interchangable by pressing space) and uses it to estimate the sin/cos of an angle or the asin/acos of a value. It gives remarkably accurate guesses, with a few exceptions.

This is a way of calculating trigonometric functions without using a calculator (except to plot the graph) that can be applied in real life also.

The estimation may take a while - you may see the dot moving up the screen. You will hear a "meow" when the calcuation is done.

tan and atan are not included in this because it's values are too extreme to measure accurately with a graph.

This was quite a quickly made project, because I was bored.  smile

Hey - I was bored. Just wanted to try this.

BTW - people in Foundation Maths (the lowest grade) do Trig here - so I think you should know it...?
