FMT's post count, from the time I joined, has gone up by 300. He was at 4650 when I joined, so that means he's posted about 28 times per day. I have posted 450, give or take, and that means I have posted about 41 times per day. If we follow this pattern, in around 150 days, or 5 months, I will overtake his post count.

Are you sure you did the math right? He did 300 posts since you joined, so overall its 28 per day, and you posted 450 since you joined, so overal its 41 per day? Almost double? That seems a bit wrong...

I redid your math. I calculated that you post about 45 (about 450 posts/ 10 days) a day. If you keep posting about 45 times a day your post count will be around 7195 in 5 months.
Floatingmagictree, on the other hand, posts about 30 (300 posts/ 10 days) a day. If he keeps posting about 30 times a day for 5 months, he will be around 9150. He would have to stop posting for about 44 days while you kept posting at your ap/d (average posts per day) for you to overtake him.

Exactly, you missed the fact that he would still post, and you would have to post that amount each day. What if you miss a day or two? You would have to make up by a lot.

It was a rough estimate of how many posts he makes in a day, because it's not like he posts exactly 30 every time. I, on the other hand, post all the time (when I'm in class anyways, or bored and supposed to work on my homework.)

Almost a year IF and only if you post at least 45 times EVERY single day for almost a year. I highly doubt you could do that so I wouldn't get to far ahead of yourself if I were you.

Yeah, if you didn't notice, FMT hasn't even been posting lately. The 28 he posts everyday was just a rough estimate based on the last 2 weeks, but it's clear that it's just been an irregular slope in his normal posting schedule. If I post 500 every 2 weeks, I can topple his post count eventually.
