I don't really want to trade one of them. I'm leaving one as it is and I'll train up the other into a Rhyperior.( I'll trade with my other game to get it)

I need help!
Jumpluff has Leaf Guard. Jumpluff has Rest. Jumpluff is decent in Ubers (for a NU at least).
AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS EVER NOTICED THIS?
I'd like to work on a Rest set, then put it into a team with a Groudon lead. But I'm not very good at thinking up movesets, so... I ask all you other people. Please?

Tangrowth also has Leaf Guard and is overall a better choice in my opinion. Cherrim has Flower Gift and also pairs up devastatingly well with Groudon. And Jumpluff gets OHKOed by just about anything in Ubers because of his horrible typing. You won't get time to use Rest. The only weather resting Pokemon which really works is Manaphy.
However, if you're determined on a moveset, then perhaps this could work:
Jumpluff (Leftovers)
-Rest
-Substitute
-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed
Pick the EV's and nature yourself, you know what you want to use it for.
Rest is for the reasons you have stated. Sleep Powder gives you time to set up a substitute so Jumpluff doesn't die instantly or switch out to another Pokemon.
Leech Seed allows Jumpluff to survive a lot longer than expected, and when combined with Substitute and Sleep Powder will annoy your opponent to no end.
This set is most effective when Stealth Rock is set up (Which your Groudon lead could do). The opponent will be more wary of switching the types which hurt Jumpluff the most (Fire, Ice and Flying). It cripples Ho-oh and Lugia which is always a nice bonus.
The Leech Seed strategy also works best here. Stealth Rock makes your opponent think twice about switching Pokemon in and makes the residual damage rack up even quicker.
Also, Jumpluff's biggest counter, Clefable (According to Smogon) is nonexistent in Ubers.

Lots of exams and coursework lately, plus the Pokemon thread isn't exactly at the height of activity.
I do do something constructive once in a while.

Fair enough. I haven't played the game in ages now. I'm like one of those old sage people

It has incredible speed, and if you can double battle with groudon, and pull a 1 turn STAB solarbeam, its actually pretty good, especially to take out fire types, although you will need to have groudon have a super powered sunny day over heat, or eruption, or flame thrower, or something.
Edit: in fact, I think I might use that strategy

...except its attacking stats are saying hi to Deoxys-A's defenses.
Leech Seed is better, but if you want to really annoy the pants off your opponent then give it U-Turn and get the 'ell (hehe, new cuss word) out of there once they realize what you're trying.

How is a Jumpluff solarbeam good at taking out fire type Pokemon? You might as well use Splash. (Metaphorically, don't go pointing out that Jumpluff doesn't have Splash).
Groudon using Sunny Day would be redundant. Weather effects don't stack, so you wouldn't get anymore bonuses to fire type moves by having two sunlight's active.
I can't say for certain whether it would be better than Overheat or Eruption, but Fire Punch beats Flamethrower due to Groudon's vastly superior attack stat.

I just had a great idea for a team.
1 foretress, for spikes, toxic, and sandstorm. Also knows recover
2 blissy, for toxic, and wall, also can take out fire types for fortress
3 spritomb, for a no weakness backup sweeper in case spike toxic sandstom combo dosent work.

Well, I don't have my new team, but I'll get on anyway.
