Speaker Output Options

If you're, say, making a music visualizer, wouldn't it be so much easier to make it sort of go with the beat, to the volume, et cetera? Of course! So I propose speaker output options For example:

These would allow the pen sprite to:

Move to the beat

Change the pen size by volume

And more!

Any comments? Suggestions? Questions?

Re: Speaker Output Options

I like the ideas!

1. It might be a little difficult for scratch to calculate the tempo, but its definately possible, considering there's already speech recognition.

2. Volume would be definately nice

3. I forget what that was lol. But it would be handy...

Yeah, tempo would be difficult. But I thought about that, and I decided, "Hey, it's a suggestion." No harm in that, right?

And yes, I think volume would certainly be possible.

Lastly.... You forgot?

You could make your own tempo calculator by looking at the intervals of volume.

Generally though it is rarely like that. For percussion, yes, but everything else, not really.

Re: Speaker Output Options

the most songs (that are probably MP3) have basses in it,and with help of the basses, scratch should be able to calculate the tempo of the song.

my idea is

posibility to change the pitch or speed of a song( for DJ based projects)
