0KB Music Files?

I have 2 music files that won't work in Scratch. They will go into the sound section, but as 0KB files, when 1 of them is 1.04MB and the other one is 7.33MB. I tried re-installing Scratch but the same thing is happening!

Re: 0KB Music Files?

Scratch can only read MP3 files and uncompressed WAV, AIF, and AU files (encoded with 8-bits or 16-bits per sample, but not 24-bits per sample). Maybe this is the problem?

What happens when you try to play them?

Well, let's see here, 0KB(size)=0:00:00(time) so, it plays, but stops because of the time (0:00:00).

They're MP3 files.

Re: 0KB Music Files?

Maybe there is some aspect about the MP3 file that causes Scratch to import the file improperly (Scratch can sometimes be fickle when importing MP3s). Have you tried converting the file into another format?

LOL, fickle.
Try WAV, Scratch supports them. Just use a program like audacity (google it i'm too lazy  tongue ) to make a supported WAV.
