Kia Ora Scratches!
im just going to tell you about some of my first games and that your first games dont need to be flash. its good to start a collection of games, got a idea? try your best to make a game about it, keep doing this for a few months.
Then when you are more expect in making games, look back at your first ones, and you will see how, why, what your brain was thinking back then, there might be a few laughs, i looked at my very very first game i had ever made. i was trying to make a action sword swinging scroller, (but back then i did not know how to broadcast, recieve, variables, hide, show(< lol))
it got me thinking playing all those old games, they gave me ideas for my newer games, like under fire, my first game gave me the idea for a sword welding muliplayer that ended being under fire multiplayer.
after a few months of creating games of everything your skills would of incresed, your look on games would of changed 180 degrees the other way, and before your know it your rip off your noob tag.
anywho my first games consided of mostly halo, scrollers, basic games, and looking back on them give new ideas everytime! one of my games was about a person but every limb was a sprite(didnt know how make new costumes) but remember this was within the firt few weeks of installing scratch.
when u reliese u cant make a call of duty first person or a halo like enviroment multiplayer, only then, will you be able to make them. true, i was holding on to the fps dream for months, then a gave up, but ended up making under fire, which im am so so proud of!
so keep onto your first games hold them in there own folder somewhere on your desktop, trust me, you will thank me!!

i've been on scratch for two or three years and I STILL don't know how to do games! I think i did sort of a game though! its called "bat" theres a bat and you click on the green flag to move him. thats a game, right? hmm

Yea, alot of my students first games were like that, try investigating with the "if "space" pressed" tab, that will help alot!

well if u lose it on your computer u can always download it off scratch!!

if you lose your first game (computer gets formated) you can always download it back of scratch website
