I got Super mario bros wii 2 weeks ago and I finsished the game and got world nine and have 1 level in it XD I was wondering how you get cannons? and what cannons do...

each level has levels with secret finishes. certain secret finishes lead to warp pipes. not really useful after you beat the game, just for fun. the first warp pipe is in 1-3.
on another note, i recently beat the entire game. now im playing mario kart wii

I am on world 5 and i`m stuck on 5-3 where those tall things with long legs appear.
EDIT: Also, I beated the DS virsion of new super mario bros wii! (ages ago)

Actually, there's a platform that you can't see... I'm NOT joking. You have to drop for it to be on-screen.

You can skip that level by doing the caterpillar level on world five Im on world five mini castle

Which part? there are two rope parts. The vertical ropes and the horizontal ones. The vertical one has no pit so I guessed you meant horizontal. But there didn't seem to be any platform, and the camera didn't move down when I fell.

You have to be in the right place, near the first moving platform. And yes, I meant the horizontal ones.
