Anyone hear about the new programming language Stencyl? It's like a more complex version of scratch. I got an invitation to get the beta version of Stencyl, and it is AMAZING, but complex, and I just wanted to ask a couple of Stencyl users some questions:
1. How do you delete a game? This must sound unbelievably stupid, but I made a test-game that I didn't like on it, and well, I can't delete it
2. Ditto for attributes ^
3. Submitting a frame for actors doesn't seem to work, it loads for a long time and gets nowhere. Then the whole thing crashed and I had to restart because of it. Is there something I probably did wrong?
4. The boollean logic is really different than what I'm accustomed too. Can someone give a really brief summary?
5. Even basic motion is just messed up. The interface is not that user-friendly, though they say that's their priority. I just need some help!
If there is a tutorial anywhere, please direct me to it.
Thank you! (If you helped me, if you didn't help me you get squat)
Btw, if I gain mastery of it I still won't quit scratch. Scratch is just too darn good

I'd help if I could.
I don't know stencyl.

To delete a game, go into the stencyl folder (not in the program stencyl, in like windows explorer or something), then go into the games folder, and delete the folder titled the name of that game you made.
Other than that, I don't really know. I got the program as a beta tester, but I was a bit unimpressed.

Is it a bitmap? I tried uploading one of those and it didn't work. Use jpeg.
I think it's great too.

I would help, but I can't log in, it won't take my password, because it has Greek charecters. I also can't change it.
Uh... any reasoning toward the usage of Greek characters?

Extra password protection... I suppose?

Anyways, I may have a solution to one of your problems... see my above posts.
Hmm.. actually, that's probably why, because I usually use .bmp for sprites that I am more artistic on.

You should probably ask stencyl questions in the stencyl forums.

2. click the attributes button next to the palette button, find the one you want to delete, and click the minus button at the bottom and you've deleted it

This really isn't the place to be discussing Stencyl, and I'm not sure if the mods appreciate it either.

We have dedicated forums for this kind of discussion. Please use them.![]()
Well, its just because I'm more comfortable in Scratch, and I trust the people here a bit more. I haven't really checked the forums on Stencyl yet.
If you want me to delete/move this, I will. I've had most of my questions answered.

You should ask these questions on the stencyl forums at team.stencyl.net

To delete a game open it in StencylWorks and click on Remove this Game.

That's the problem. There is no Remove this Game button. I could have figured that out for myself.

I checked again, and you're right, there's a remove button but it's for scenes
So the only solution would be, going to the Stencyl folder, then to Games and delete your game manually.
