FIRST I used cooltext, and produced the very same effect you just did.
THEN I enhanced the color a bit with GIMP.

I used Paint.NET for my signature image too, what do you think of it?
I tried to make the text look a little ghosty (is that a word?).

That's too blurry...... try adding a glow to the original, or experimenting with blending the original and blurry, or adding a glow to the blurry, or all of the above. xP

You should anti-alias the text (smooth edges), duplicate it, blur the duplicate and make it transparant.

Thanks for the tips MRN and RHY, unfortunately school starts tomorrow, and I won't be on Scratch except for on the holidays. So there's really no point for me to change my signature now. But I'll keep in mind what you said
