How did you get ideas for your signatures?

I thought I should make a new signature, and I started up Paint.NET.
But when I had opened it, I realized I didn't have any clue on what it should look like.
So...

What was your source of inspiration for your signature?
Does a signature look better with an image?
And what should a signature image contain?

My image in my signature is a drawing of myself.

Now only using this account to post in Miscellaneous, but when Miss_Webgal becomes a Scratcher I'm ditching this account.

Well - I had the 3D R I did 2 years ago and decided to do it isometrically (I'm doing isometrics in Graphic Com) with stuff from my games around it.

Meh, I wanted to make a banner, so I made one. Uses the original FMT sprite, like all my avatars. It also has a fun little slogan, "games. awesomeness. MOAR!!!"

What was your source of inspiration for your signature? Well I was just messing around with Paint.Net and GIMP making a bunch of different sigs. I ended up making about 10 different ones including my currant sig.
Does a signature look better with an image? Yes, I think so.
And what should a signature image contain? Probably a really cool image of you username.

WEll the qoutes are random things I said in my chat box and just thought it was aweshum. The chat thing was because my chat rockz. We rpg there...

I always have my favorite color, and a certain "feeling" in the picture that represents me, or my username.
