I know that a lot of other people are having problems with this message, and today was my first encounter with it.
If so, how do you get your project uploaded to the site? Do you have to wait for it, or just do some fancy stuff in the Squeak System Memory?

Sometimes not compressing helps, but mostly I just repeatedly upload.
Please leave a message at the beep.Offline
That error message only came up on a computer running Vista for me. It never happens on all other computers I've used with a different OS but I found away (for me anyway) to upload it. What I do is save the project, close Scratch, open Scratch and try upload it again. Most of the time it works.

Floating Magic Tree is encountering this problem while he uploads it, so he's gone through and filled out the application and everything is correct.
But when he starts uploading it, it shows the "Failed: Unknown Reason" message.

Maybe they should test out uploading on the gamma site before they add changes to the actual site.
@Fire: I would try on my PDA but I have so many things to check every day I wouldn't get through all of them.

Have you had trouble with this problem in the past? I see you have a lot of projects on your My Stuff area so it must have been working before. Can you isolate the problem to a particular project or a particular computer? Have you tried sharing from an account with Admin privs?

That's an interesting thing...do you think Windows 7 might be the cause of the problem? Do you have other computers on the same network with a different OS that are successful? Did you upgrade to 7 recently...and was it working well before you upgraded?

I only got the "Failed: Unknown Reason" error once. It happend when the "Varnish Guru Meditation" was happening.

If your Operating Vista you might whant to try this (it worked for me)
1. Run in Admistrator Mode
2 Add Scratch to the D.E.P
(click control panel, hit system and maintanance, hit system, on the left you should see a place that says Advanced System Settings, Click it, Go to the advanced tab, hit the Preformance's settings, Hit the DEP tab, see the bottom and hit add, go to the scratch root folder and add the apllication)
Still Comfused, I will post a how to on youtube (just ask)
