hey everyone just updates on whats happening with dg games. if you don't care about dg games, please don't make a rude comment or anything. just don't bother with us at all. hey, thats your choice. if you do like dg games (or the-whiz) then read on.
the-whiz is now in dg games
which is awesome.
also were actually working on alot of games right now. including one that will nto be anounced until a week before it comes out. nobody knows what it will be. but i can promise that it will be great.
heres a link to the site for more info
www.dg-games.com
by the way we really want to thank everyone on the scratch team, and all members of the site. without people to support us dg games would be nothing. and without the scratch programming language we wouldn't exist
thanks everyone!
also to flaming trout. i don't wanna compete with you guys, why can't two companies just coexist, whatever other members of dg games say i don't wanna be competitive. i just want to use the scratch language to create games that are fun for everyone. so can we just call truce? thanks
thanks everyone!

These are real quotes I did not fabricate them, below is a linc you can view for yourself

this is halarious, so your the people FT keeps talking about, LOL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA. you seriously underestimate MY game company, lol. since i first joined scratch, i had the dream of making games you could only imagine on scratch, since then, i have made that dream a reality with DG GAMES. most of my personal accomplishments are still in production and have been in production for 2 years to make sure everything is perfect, my members are trying there very best to do what they do best, art, script, voicework, ect. and with our official website up and running, i seriously doubt your going to take MY position of best game company on scratch away. the last company that said they were gave up 2 weeks ago. LOL

lol, i think this it so funny. ( i laugh quite alot, LOL) honestly, im not sure if i completly agree with FantasyTales list, we all have good games, but i think our greatest games are (hold on, im cleaning out MY deleated projects from the gallery, lol, i delete alot) ok, here is MY LIST OF OUR BEST GAMES.
created by deltalord. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/deltalord/424998
created by The_Flamining_Duck. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/The_Flaming_Duck/591390
created by Keroro645. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/keroro645/507783
created by ALL DG GAMES MEMBERS, and my person favorite so far. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ChaoticD/641206
and a game currently being developed only by ChaoticD, that will be a group project in the future. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ChaoticD/754153
As far as i am concerned, these are the most well working, well developed, and fun games we have created so far. Our current group project is RAIN OF MERCY which will change what people think of scratch forever. I am currently working on my long awaited JDI game which will be 100x bigger than RAIN OF MERCY. others are working on games confidential so they can surprise everyone when they get released.
sincerly, Leader and Game Designer, ChaoticD
Just a guess but maybe the above quotes have something to do with rivalry
http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 26&p=4 You can look at it there. ^ That was posted on the FT recruitment topic a couple months ago. I can call a personal truce, but above doesn't look to ah, peaceful, does it? Maybe thats why, also chaoticD was representing DG since he talked about his company how "Superior" and ("better" obviously implied) Dg is than FT. Plus this was on a topic saying that FT has reopened, yet look how aggressive ChaoticD is.
I personally don't hold your company to this, even though he was "representing" you as the leader. I also know that you are honest hard working scratchers, so I say, why not!

fair points, but like i was saying we all had a rivalry before, i wanted to start fresh though.
Offline
Its all fair for us to say that, but will choaticD accept, and a formal apology from him doesn't hurt
Offline
im not talking for him, im just saying that i don't want a rivalry. im sure he doesn't want a rivalry either. besides we've recieved our share of mean comments too. mostly on our website which has had the forums reset because of arguments.

were we even at war?

I think the problem is why I disrespect you guys on dg games are for 2 main reasons.
1. The philosiphy of the company. Most companies together work on just 1 game, or maybe a couple. As far as I know, in dg games each person does his or her own game. Doesn't that mean it's just his or her own project, and its not even about 'dg games'?
2. Grammar. You, FantasyTales and ChaoticD have some issues. No capitalization, and some other stuff. When I read that, to me it sounds like a little kid typing. Formal typing like this sounds more formal and like the person actually knows what he's talking about.
Just my opinions...

I get the first part, but isn't 2 a little to far?

It's funny how on the website you said how the-whiz has joined "your side".
Heh - as soon as I saw that I thought you were having a war against everyone else on scratch.
Anyways, I await your latest games.

Thanks Fantasytales, for making that. I never intended to compare Flamingtrout and DG games, but I did. And what I found was that you guys take things way to seriously, and by what I have seen so far, don't really enjoy it. You are also full of yourselves... There are so many qoutes, that I could qoute with you guys being arrogant fools, but there are waaaay to many. I do look up to DG, as you have excellent members, who contribute to make excellent games, but I recommend a fresh start, and more group games.
Thanks fantasytales

thats proving lucario621's second point i guess. i meant to say site. but i still think the grammar thing is too far, i mean WE ARE KIDS. i dont care about grammar here at all.
also @ pinochio, your welcome, and i know what you said was kind of mean to us, but i mean it was deserved and i hope we can start to get along better
also @ everyone, were publishers and developers. we publish games people make because then we offer the experience of being in a company without having to put as much time and effort into it as other companies. i know we sound like we put alot of effort, but your hearing from our most active members, some members aren't on often at all.
also publishing is a great way to make more games and have more creative ideas.
and still we develop too so i don't see whats so bad about having both.

pinochio is right, you publish more than you develop. I've also seen your website. Plus, shouldn't joining a company be fun? why else would you join

@ fireball123: smart alec remark: to make money
otherwise you wouldnt join lol
were trying to move out of scratch and develop real games, thats why were so strict, but like i said on the flaming trout forum your points are valid and we should stop boasting and start making games which should be fun lol.

I don't wanna start an arguement, I just decided to say what I have felt for a while, but I do think a lot of yous are making an effort to change, and I should amke an effort to change as well, since I have said some rude stuff to you guys
Many of you have probably heard about one of the older, well known companies on Scratch called DG games. They have many excellent Scratchers, and have created some great games!
DG games can be viewed as a success, as they have acquired fame in Scratch, and elsewhere, and were recently featured in an indian magazine called Digit, with an average of 120,000 viewers per issue!
There are many negative aspects though, I think many of the DG members are a little full of themselves, and when they are criticized, they will blatantly reply to you, without any actual point, so it seems that they can not accept when someone puts their company down.
DG enjoys making title screens, which never evolve to actual games, they just stay as title screens, and the games are long awaited, but will most likely never be released. Based on what I have seen, DG members just smack DG logos on their games, and call it a DG games, when they are not even group games. I also think that DG is not exactly a fun experience for members, since it is very strict and limited. This does not apply to all of DG, but to almost half of the company.
I still look up to them, as they have truly revolutionized what is capable with Scratch, but sometimes attitude is more important than skill.
Claimed by the founder himself, DG keeps any criticism in a word document, which is quite creepy and also proves that over the past year they have not changed a bit. If the document was used for making the company better, the members what most likely have changed a little, but no, they have not.
DG also self-proclaims that they are the best company on Scratch, which is not proven at all, and is very disagreeable.
I could go on and on, and Just note, I think that some DG members are awesome, but some of you guys and the company could really improve. Thanks
Pinochio

He told me on halo3kings project, adressing how we should all overule DG. After a while of attacks, and foc threating to kick his butt, he deleted the project

Sorry to butt in but in my opinion DG games is about as good a group as flaming trout or any other ones. Most scratch members in these sort of groups only have a bit of scratch experience which make everyone about equal. DG I think is pushing things a bit too far. You say to want to make revolutionary games and put all other groups to shame but you haven't done so and I don't see it happening. From what I have seen, more effort on DG's part has been put in to hype than making actual projects and most of what I have seen have been demos. I am not trying to put you down or anything like that DG but I think you could be less condescending and maybe try to produce fuller projects.
I don't like to point people out but chaoticD seems to have a tendency to put other people down while glamorising himself. Maybe you could ask him to apologise for being a general party pooper and make things better with the people who have bad impressions of you.
Offline
yep i was trying to apologise with this thread for my behavior as part of dg games. i agree with your points. however i would also like to point out that we have had some great games like nowhere part 2 the void created by the_flaming_duck and published by dg games.
Offline
Well since most people seem to be bothered by chaoticD and not you maybe you can make him apologise?

lol he doesnt listen to anything i say anyway. but I apologise fully.

Kick him out of your group then. If he wants to continue to be a jerk to everyone and won't listen to you then get rid of him. If the "company" is really as big of a deal as you make it out to be then the "firing" of chaoticD should be a reasonable compromise.
