One of my family’s friends gave us a broken 52 inch flat-screen TV that they originally bought for over $2000. We found the problem and fixed it for $32, now it works beautifully
Have you ever got a broken expensive electronic and fixed it for cheap? Discuses

I went to GameStop then they asked me if i wanted some old junk for free.
I said ok and they gave me a wii, PS3, Xbox360 for FREE! But they were all broken and "useless"
Turned out that only 1! wire was missing for each of them....
Fixed it with 1 dollar to buy the missing wires

My father is an electrical engineer so he can fix most electronics - about 1/4 the electronics in our house were actually picked up during a dumpster dive in the backway alley. I think the big winner was a freakishly huge boom box that contained CD player, audio-cassette player, and radio.
