On the TBG forums, I made a thread where you would post a picture of your house, and I specifically said NOT to say where you lived, but it got closed anyway! I really don't get what the deal is. I mean, hundreds of people could have a house that looks the same! Jeez...
No, that's actually quite dangerous. ^^
Just think about it... most of the people on Scratch share their city, some share their name. They might share other personal information elsewhere (facebook, myspace etc), such as their school. It is possible to track a person when you know their school, name, city, and how their house looks. And there are many more ways you can track them, based on facts that don't look too dangerous at first sight.
I believe that topic had a high potential danger rate. It's not really worth the risk, you know.
Agreed. Most people aren’t aware of the risks they put them selves at when they give away any personal information. I once found out what state and city someone was lived in, what school they go to and their full name just by Googling there Scratch username.

In my opinion the scratch team is too strict.

The mods are very strict when it comes to web safety, and for that you should thank them not criticize them. They freely give their time to keep this community safe and happy, they are doing a great job and everything they do is for your own good. You should show them your appreciation not criticism
Great job Mods!

Wow, the posters of useless things try to exert their control over the website by rebelling against the mods. Really? Last I checked, the moderators were doing a fine job of removing dangerous/inappropriate things, and posting in this thread is nothing more than an ego boost.
