Can't you start Windows in safe mode with MS-DOS? And then try to repair it?
I did that once when my Windows didn't work.

And if you have several Anti virus softwares on your computer it could also stop working.

Then give the computer to a nerd, or a computer repair shop.

Hmm.... When I formatted my hard-drive I could amazingly recover almost all the lost files.

And I really recommend you to partition your hard drive, one partition with OS and one with all your other files, by doing that you can re-install Windows on your OS partition without deleting your other files.

Re: Problem with windows Can someone help

Have you looked at your system proccesses? Sometimes viruses show up there as an exe file.

Try installing your antivirus after doing this.
Go
Start ---> Run
type in "Msconfig" and hit OK
Under the Genral tab select "Diagnostic Startup" and hit OK (This will only load programs that windows needs to start up)
A message will popup saying you need to restart your computer. Say you will do it later because the shutdown & restart might not work.
Turn off you computer normaly and then turn it back on
Now try to install your antivirus and run a scan straight away. (If you can't install software just activate the installation service in Msconfig and try again)

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.
