Its been a while since my last avatar change so heres a new one
Criticism is welcome, I still have the source files so its not too late to make changes.

I preferred the cartoony one.

Well I originally wanted to change my avatar once a year, but I got lazy
I think the new one looks best when its bigger
And here's my first avatar

To tell the truth, it's extremely annoying when people change their avatar. xD

Yeah, but usually you can't tell the difference with mine, because mine is always a short stick figure animation I make, and they are all similar
I've changed it four times in December, no one noticed.

Yeah, that's not as annoying, I agree. xD

I liked the old cartoon one better too. But to me, its just about making something that is fresh.

I really disliked your cartoon avatar (I don't know why). This is a bit better.

In my own opinion, it seems that the style is inconsistent throughout the image, and it really bugs me when I see inconsistent style. Other things bugging me is the bright background, which otherwise clashes with the seriousness of the face. If it were me, I'd probably try to make the style more consistent and make the background darker. I'd also change the hat (it looks to small) and fix the arm (it looks too short as compared to the body). But that's just the artist in me talkin'... you have a better idea of what you want to convey in your avatar so you have a better idea of what could be better improved.

I agree. I like your previous one more.

eh, no. I liked the old one way better because:
1 the face is a little too serious
2 no offense, but the style you are trying to get isn't really achieved: part of it is shade, a part is regular, some is unshaded, then the staff is shaded, and a little bit of texture, then there is a hint of cartoony-ness, but that is never gone through with. It looks like you changed your mind a couple time when you were making it.
3 Also the hat is tiny!
4 Another ting I noticed is that the arm line thickness is line consistency with the rest of the body is off

Meh, was that made on Flash?

Bingo
In a bit less clever of a way
"Oh [removed by author so mods don't have to], it's Mr. Creosote!"

Thanks for the input. I am not such a good artist but I try. I just watched some youtube videos on how to draw faces and that is how I made this.
This is what is currently on my to fix list.
-Hat should be redone, doesn't have the right style (it was done at a different time)
-Arm doesn't look like it goes with the body, not sure how to fix it, I'll just try some different things
-Needs a new background, but should it be some sort of gradient or a gloomy type background?
-See something you think should be here? Let me know

The arm does look funny.
I think it has to do with either the outline of the arm is much bigger. Of course, closer things are obviously much bigger, but I'm never used to seeing the outlines any bigger.
Then, it doesn't look like it really has an elbow joint.
