have to force quit on Mac 10.5s

Generally, students have to force quit Scratch on our 10.5 computers in a lab setting. Simple Quitting either isn't an option or won't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hmmm.. we haven't heard of other's having this problem. Any additional details you can provide will be helpful. What happens when your students click the "close window" button? What happens when they use File > Quit?

Thanks!

Have they used File>Quit? The close button (red X) isn't on the window.

I've found that you can't apple+Q to quit, but you can press the red x button to completely quit the application (not just the window). I think there's also a file > quit.

Re: have to force quit on Mac 10.5s

Some programs on Mac, like Scratch, don't have a red x button. Instead of force quitting, click Scratch in the top menu bar, then go down to quit. And then a prompt to save, and you're done!

Why is there no x button? That I don't know, but some programs, other than Scratch, have that feature.
