Can I copyright my projects?

Can I copyright my projects so that others cannot use my sprites without permission where I have created them from scratch in an external software?

I don't know... probably. Unless their guineses, like meh  big_smile  like, if you put a tranclucent mark on them, across the whole picture, so they have to erase that, and repaint the pic to get it off. And probably mess it up.i'm not tellin ya how to not mess it up and get it off.

By default, Scratch puts a Creative Commons license on each project uploaded onto the Scratch website, which allows any Scratcher to use any part of the project so long as they follow the terms of that license and the website's Terms of Use. The license is the same for each project and a link to information on that license is provided on each project page.

Re: Can I copyright my projects?

To copyright something completely, you will need to pay a small fee, and the copyright company will have to think that it is worth copyrighting.

It also has to be one of these things:

Literary
song lyrics, manuscripts, manuals, computer programs, commercial documents, leaflets, newsletters & articles etc.

Dramatic
plays, dance, etc.

Musical
recordings and score.

Artistic
photography, painting, sculptures, architecture, technical drawings/diagrams, maps, logos.

Typographical arrangement of published editions
magazines, periodicals, etc.

Sound recording
may be recordings of other copyright works, e.g. musical and literary.

Films
broadcasts and cable programmes.

And finally, it defeats the point of Scratch, imagine • program • share.

WeirdF, you should delete your post as it is completely wrong.

kitty3, you might want to start learning about copyrights by reading this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright  That should get you started.  This is a huge field, so my advice to you would be to seek the council of a copyright lawyer.
