No, it's not the 60 second rule.
When I look for the quick post box, it's just not there.
That happens on most forums i go to... I don't know why.

Post on the forum or the threads? You cant post in the anouncements forum but you can on the threads within the forum.

The TBG is archived and closed. I don't know where the new TBG is, but someone may know. Some topics are closed if here is a fight or something like that. If a topic is closed, where the post reply button is it will say topic closed. I usually don't use the quick post so I don't pay attention.

Are the inspiration and more threads grey when you look at them? If so, its likely they have been closed.

Hi bbtall, archived forums (which include 'Text-Based Games', 'Scratch Day 2009', and 'Scratch at MIT conference 2008') and the 'Educators' forum are closed and do not allow Scratchers to posts new comments or new threads (the threads will not necessarily say 'thread closed'). The 'FAQ' forum and 'Announcements' forum do not allow Scratchers to make new threads, but allow Scratchers to comment on existing threads. You should still be able to post new threads and new comments on the other forums.
The 'Text-Based Games' forum was moved over to here: http://scratch.mit.edu/tbgforums

I should have known this earlier! I once went to a TBG fourum and it must have been unofficial because I needed to sign up to use it.

Thank You Cheddargirl! My problem was that I was using the archived TBG, so it wasn't working. That solved my problem, thanks!
