1. I don't support it, but people here have good reasons to support it... So I'm not sure.
2. I'm an Apatheist. Atheists are sure God doesn't exist, Apatheists really don't care. I think we don't need to know.
3. Having a different belief doesn't make you better than everyone else, so no.
4. See 2.

Not true. We just have no active belief in gods. What you are describing is gnosticism rather than atheism, and you can have gnostic theists (people who KNOW god exists) and gnostic athiests (People who KNOW god doesn't exist). The latter are rare, of course, since most atheists know that you can't prove a negative, so cannot know for sure that there isn't some higher being that's just astonishingly good at hiding evidence of its existence. Gnosticism over the unprovable is not a rational stance.
Not really caring or not needing to know doesn't get you out of being theist or atheist - its a binary question, you must be one or the other. Sure, you can not care, but you still either believe there is, or that there isn't.
One assumes that if you *did* believe in the existence of a god such as that described in teh bible, you would care (the threat of hell tends to make people care), so on balance its likely that you are atheist.

1. It's mandatory for some people. It's the parents' choice.
2. Yes. Very much so.
3. Nobody's better than anybody. Belive it or not, atheists don't run around acting as if we're better than the religious.
4. No. It's not their fault. It's the fault of those who converted them.

Once, my father told me, "It's hard to be with people of another religion until you realize the common idea of religions. That common idea is to respect life."
When I heard that, I realized why I felt so against abortion. I actually respected life.
He also told me that a lot of the old testament was poetic, untrue. I figured that religion was an excuse for everything in this world as well as that common idea.
Does that mean atheists do not respect life? That they use the bible's falseness to say they are better when they are not?
A simple quiz can test this.
The Quiz:
1. Do you support abortion?
2. Are you an atheist?
3. Do you think atheists are better than religious people?
4. Do you think it's stupid to believe in any god?
1. In general, no. Obviously there are a few exceptions in extreme cases.
2. Yes.
3. Depends on what you say "better" is. If you mean thinks he/she has more logical views, yes. If you mean thinks he/she is just more "awesomer", no.
4. I wouldn't use the word stupid, but I do think it is irrational. Although most of the time people merely believe what there parents believed and what the society around them in general believes.

Um well, atheists (I'm a jew btw) they just belive there are other ways to celebrate life without a god. Actually it's like humanistic jews. They belive that you can celebrate the holidays and all that stuff w/o a god or 'god'. But, I'll do the quiz.
1. I do support abortion NOT because I hate life. I belive it should be the girl's choice whether or not to have the baby because, maybe she doesn't want the baby because of who she had it with, or because she is way too young. It's a choice. Support it or don't.
2. I am not an atheist, I am a jew but I respect atheists, christians, (and everyone else because I'm too lazy and not smart enough to know all the relidgeons and type them, XD)
3. I do not in fact think atheists are better then those of us with relidgeon. I'd think it might be safe to say atheism (tell me if I'm wrong) is almost as a relidgeon. We're all equal, no matter what path we choose or what we are born under.
4. Definatly Not stupid or bad. I personally, don't love the thought of god. Heavy stuff @ the moment. I pay more attention to the interests of what judism centers around, what is good and bad and whether or not I disagree. I like relidgeon no matter what type and I always keep an open mind. (I'm a reformer jew, for anyone wondering) I celebrate most all holidays. Passover, Channuka, Sukkot, and most all the others.

The title is very offennsive
Anyways:
Yes, because what if she was forced to have a baby?(I would tell you the rest but I would get banned)
Yes.
No, I think that everyone should be able to believe what they want and be equal.
No. I just think that if it is backed up by scientific information, it is true. I personally think that the FSM is more believable than god
I respect all beliefs and I do not think that anyone is better for being one religon.

1 Yes, but not to be taken lightly, the mother should have the right to choose.
2 I'm non-religious, I just don't think about religion, weather that makes me atheist is for you to decide.
3 They are guided by logic not faith, who am I to judge?
4 No, just how far you go to make others believe the samething.

What you just said, is stupid. That is a dumb statement. I am aethiest, and I love life, and I dont have to live by the rules of 'god' I have freedom
1. Do you support abortion? Yes, and no. If you are rap/ed, and you have a baby, and you are not fit to support a child, you should be a loud to get an abortion. Otherwise, I think abortions are not a very good thing. It really depends on the situation.
2. Are you an atheist? yes.
3. Do you think atheists are better than religious people? No. Dumb question.
4. Do you think it's stupid to believe in any god? No. Only if you take it way to seriously

1. I don't SUPPORT abortion, but I think people should be able to choose abortion if they want to.
2. I'm agnostic.
3. Not necessarily, I just think they have a better opinion on one issue.
4. I think atheism/agnosticism is more logical and makes more sense, but that doesn't make religious people stupid.

1: I don't, but if people want to do it, they can go ahead.
2: Yes
3: In some ways, like we don't argue on which religion is best because we don't have one
4: I, as a human being on earth, cannot conceptualize the possibility of supernatural beings. What more to say?

1. Yes, I believe women should be in control of their own body and have the option not to bring a child into the world if they don't want to care for it. What really grinds my gears are Christian activists that try to stop people from having abortions but do nothing to prevent the circumstances that would cause someone to want an abortion.
2. More of a agonistic I guess. I don't care for Gods but there is a possibility that there is some sort of super being, but probably not a big guy in white robes.
3. Religion doesn't decide if a person is "better" than another.
4. Nope, I have a lot of friends who are religious. I don't know anyone who goes overboard with religion.

1. I am fully pro-choice. I dislike people who try to force views on someone even though it never affects the person doing the forcing. Like with the crusades. They went to enlighten the people about god. Then they said "Lets kill them all."
2. Agnostic.
3. I don't know. I kinda thought I was better than everyone else, but thats just me.
4. No. I am a big believer in choices. If someone wants to believe in the great banana god of Ra, I don't care as long as it doesn't affect me. It's their life, not mine.
Mayhem, I would bet that most of those prison surveys asked the prisoners what there religion was. If they went to long term facilities, with the big baddies, my guess is that most people there converted in prison because of:
A. Boredom
B. Hope of Salvation
C. Gang/Pressure related issues.
Just a guess, but I bet alot of that goes around.

no not more then they should, it's not good to keep people sheltered from the world because when they're out there to fend for themselves they're screwed.
