Hi,

I have got it working. See

Hi Freemant - thanks for creating this helpful entry! However, the title may be a bit confusing, since the Scratch package available here installs just fine on Ubuntu 9.10:

http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Linux_installer

I think you meant that you had figured out a way to install the Scratch package on _K_ubuntu (the version of Ubuntu that uses KDE as the window manager, instead of gnome)- very helpful! - bit a little different. So I've changed the title of this thread.

We hope to fix the bug in the package when installed on Kubuntu. If you'd like to help package Scratch for Linux, see this page:
