Scratch keeps crashing
The programming thingy crashed and all my projects were deleted. 
All your problems are like batter when you add a little Chatter, because when you have Chat, you're safe from bats.

I had a ton of unuploaded projects then when i went to finish an animation they were all gone! Then the thing kept crashing and crashing and crashing.

Don't, oh don't, please don't do that. Scratch uninstalls your projects if it gets uninstalling. How could It help?
I'd say look for your files ending with .sb.
Windows:
Open the start menu and type in .sb and press "more results".
Mac:
Press the search in the corner, type in .sb, and press "more results".

I re-installed 1.4 for no reason and my project wern't deleted
