It is. I want Rhy to create this in scratch. It doesn't have to have color. Just the movable frame.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

I haven't even solved one rubiks cube in my life - so I doubt I'll be able to test it when it's made.  tongue

It would be very slow, (25 cubes? That's like 400 Lines.) and realizing how many lines that would be just there says to me that scratch won't be able to edit the script when I'm not even a quarter done. Sorry guys, I can't do this.

On the other hand, I'm working on other things (in 2d) which are really fun and advanced - so you should see some projects like that soon. If scratch magically becomes a hell lotta faster and BYOB integrates into normal scratch then I will do this.

It would DRAW the rubiks cube using pen.

I'm thinking about all of this; my approximate amount of lines without color is 40. You don't really have to do the inside. 16 to draw the main cube. Then for each frame frame you need 8, and its 3 frames so 24 + 16 = 40. Its hard to explain... I'll make a project for it, ok?

But for color, my idea is to do a simple X with each color for each one. So an X is made out of 2 lines. theres 54 squares on a rubiks cube, so 54 * 2 = 108. So then 108 + 40 = 148 lines total  smile  Still a lot to render.

And RHY, imagine if we used advanced shading technique I made with BYOB XD It would fail so epicly...

But I'll make a project without the lines first ok? Thanks  smile

I figured how to solve my a Rubiks Cube at the age of 7  tongue
And i FIGURED meaning i found a way to solve it not go on youtube and find out. But i started to research faster methods. So i decided to create my own method. The K2 method. which uses math and variables to solve.

Impressive! I've solved it with a slight instruction manual that came with it ; but it stll takes like 5 minutes for me with it. And I can only do like one side without the manual lolz. about half of the cube rly.

That wouldn't work out. For it to have the  animation of moving pieces it would be nearly impossible to make all of that in 1 sprite or script or using only pen.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

Interesting... I looked on youtube. I can solve a 2x2 my self in 30 secs.

3x3x3: 59 secs
4x4x4 no parity: about 3 mins
4x4x4 w/ parity: about 3.5 mins
5x5x5 no parity: about 6 mins
5x5x5 w/ parity: about 6.5 mins

I hope I can get a V-Cube 5 6 and 7. The rubiks cube 5 professor is hard to turn.  sad

1. What "ANIMATION". This is just PEN. 2. I'm just starting with a 3D rubiks cube; no turning, no animation, no solving or anything. Just a 3D model basically... on scratch with Gale3D

14  tongue   lol  and no...that is nowhere near the world record. From 20 seconds to improve your score it takes luck and practice. A WHOLE month of training could MAYBE improve your score from 20 to 19 seconds. But i was like screw this lol...im not gunna waste my time trying to break the world record. Recalculation each frame would be 10, so 10*3 = 30, plus 16 is 46, so actually it would be about 108 + 46 = 154 lines with color.

Hey, story of my life XD And you're right, it takes forever to get a sub-20 avg. I heard the knock-off blue type F is really good.

As for the cubes I can solve:

Pyraminx
Megaminx
2x2+ (which means I can do all of the cubes.)
Void Cube

And then there are others, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I use the DIY then i jack it up with Jigalo and then file the corners XD So it becomes smoother. Then i would go to cubesmith.com and buy some tile stickers.

From 1x1(lol) to ANY size. Like 2x2 3x3 and 4x4 ect. I once got soo bored i tried solving a computer generated 100x100....stupidest decision ever! lol
It took forever to load and 2 days straight to solve.
