Challenge for RHY!

I want to see if you can make a rubiks cube generator with Gale3D. And you can set the dimensions like 3x2x4 and so on. And you drag it to turn it.  big_smile

Hai.

That might be impossible.... seeing how he also has to generate the shape of the cube.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

That's easy. The shape is just a square with lines in the middle.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

I probably could too  smile  But to make a working rubik's cube with Gale3D (like you actually can solve it and stuff) o_O I couldn't.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

If it is indeed possible, I would like to see it! Making a rubiks cube is hard enough...

But rendering it and knowing which colors are which on which side is quite hard, seeing how Scratch only supports single-dimensional arrays.

But with Gale3D, it is easy; you just have to enter the coordinates.

He has to make it 1s1s.

EDIT: NVM, you guys are right.

Re: Challenge for RHY!

He wouldn't be able to fill in the colours of the squares but he could make a tiled cube.

He could but it would take forever to render.  Maybe he could put a dot of color in the middle of each cube?

I doubt RHY will even see this forum for a few days.  But we are peparing for when he does

Re: Challenge for RHY!

for this to actually work you'd have to have at least 96 sprites running at once for the points on the rubiks cubish, scratch would crash at that, I don't think that would really be possible unfortunately...

So simple minded, as always.

He could render each tile with stamps and render their movement and store the information in lists.

I think that was a huge run-on sentence.
