Share you ideas of what you think would be cool to program on scratch with, that are realworld sensors, such as picoboard, lego we-do, etc.
I think a wii fit balance board would be awesome. It would have 4 sensors, one for each corner to see how much weight is being put on. I would make my own games for it, and then I'd hook up my laptop to my TV and it would be like wicked cool.

How about some Joystick peripheral? That would be really cool.

A joystick thing would make there be more flight sims on Scratch

Lol yeah. That would be fun. You could design your own songs, or maybe just use the mat to create some other kind of project.

Virtual reality kinda thing? You put pressure on the ^ pad and your character moves forward!

Wiimote support. You can connect it via bluetooth, all you have to do is make the application read the joypad outputs (values for tiltzzz etc)

Well I guess that's a no-brainer.

A tablet or a touch screen? Or maybe something over bluetooth...

I saw somebody made that using We-Do's Tilt Sensor.

Nobody HAS We-Do.

I've used them at a camp. You can get them off of ebay for $100-$250

I think it would be cool to have a simple balance sensor for a climbing game. Then when you would have to shimmy across a ledge or walk across a narrow path, the sensor would register if you leaned too far and then there would be an animation of you falling of the cliff face.I guess someone who doesn't have an actual tilt sensor and can't buy one(unlikely) could make one using mercury switches tilted at an angle,or a potentiometer hooked up to some kind of spring scale that would register on a computer.I probably couldn't though because i'm really bad at programming outside of scratch, and i'm not good with a soldering iron.

You can already do that. I would know, I use a tablet for Scratch.

This should go in sensor boards, not here. But lego nxt would rock.
I'm back. Here's a Kento/Shori kiss.Offline

... not for drawing sprites.
Webgal15 means when your actually playing the project, you have to use special features of the tablet or what not.
