Re: most influential scratchers

Here's my list(not in order):

Archmage
Archmage has revolutionized scratch's scrolling techniques by giving us the idea of 2-sprite scrolling, allowing for greater and larger scrolling projects. He has also given us the idea for AI programming, leading to a number of SSB and various fighting projects, and has also been a pioneer in the use of sensors and velocities.

Paddle2see
Paddle2see is a very helpful scratcher who is always willing to lend a hand to any scratcher or help to remedy a glitch in a project. He has also come out with some projects with very innovative programming, from his widely used Trigonometry Cannon to his more recent Marble Roll Kit,allowing for scratch to become more versatile as a complex programming language.

RHY376547
RHY376547 has led scratch's path towards true 3D projects thanks to his GALE3D engine project, which allows for the drawing and rendering of 3D items in scratch. His wildly popular game LINE and also wildly anticipated sequel LINE2 have also set of an avalanche of 1-sprite 1-script games that are considered faster than multi-script projects.

Andremsh
Andremsh is one of the scratch design team on scratch that helps to design new versions of scratch and it's features, automatically making him influential to every project on the website.

Neo
Neo i'm a little unsure about,as he was never even an active scratch user, but he was the first registered scratch member on the site, helping him to set off the website that we all know and love.

Cheddergirl
If Paddle2see is the pinaccle of helpfulness on scratch, then cheddergirl certainly isn't far behind on the forums. She is one of the main forum mods whose job it is to keep the forums fun and nonviolent. She is also a very helpful scratcher who is always willing to help you on your way towards fixing a project or helping you learn about a programming method.

That's all I can think of who are influential and not just popular. If I find someone else than I may edit this thread.

RHYwhatever those random numbers are - perhaps....
gettysburg11 - xP

funkymonkey wrote:

yeah jens!!! i forgot about him. im gonna use him

So do you need influental Scratchers or not? -,- Jens is not too influental.

funkymonkey wrote:

MyRedNeptune wrote:

You don't know CANTHIAR???????? O.O I thought you were there when he was a hit on Scratch. >.>

erm, well Maho and Nikki are simply one of the most popular Scratchers. But if you like you can include JSO and Chalkmarrow instead of them, if you're more into programming-popular Scratchers. ^^

lol yeah i had never heard of him until like a month ago... but I'm not really looking for popular scratchers, but people that were really influential and changed scratch altogether, sort of...

They both are very influental. Any popular active Scratcher is influental.

The-Whiz wrote:

I'd say Addzero...

And I would say Tsunami_Enterprises, if he was influential in a good way, which he's not - People are still making references to him now.

That's not influental, just surprising. It didn't really change anything at all.

funkymonkey wrote:

Does anyone think these scratchers are influential?
m44
Oldschooler2
Axeblade
Sonicpops (he made the first scratch company)

m44 - nah
Oldschooler2 - he is quite influental, but less than all the other Scratchers mentioned
Axeblade - no
SonicPops - SHE made the first Scratch company. xD Well, I think that's quite influental. :3

I think MyRedNeptune is a very influential scratcher. (Oh wait, do evil masterminds bent on World Destruction count as 'influential?') I also think Pappy_Rick is very influential, or he has been influential to me personally. Mayhem is also influential, although many may just think of him as 'the guy who starts religious topics in Inspiratoin and More'  lol
