click & copy

Is it in anyway possible to be able to click on a sprite and have it be copied?

Re: click & copy

Hi jlevilgenious,

You can duplicate sprites by right clicking on them either on the stage or in the sprite library part of the Scratch-window and then selecting "duplicate" in the pop-up menu. you can also click on the "stamp-tool" button and afterwards on the sprite you want to duplicate. Plus, you can export/import sprites to files on disc.

Re: click & copy

Sorry, let me clarify this. Is it possible to click and copy a sprite as an action in game. For example when you click the sprite, a second sprite is made and can; sprite one would stay in place and sprite copy would be moved around as needed. The emphasis is on "in-game."

Re: click & copy

There is no way to create a sprite at runtime.  But - you can build a number of sprites ahead of time and have them hidden at the start of the game, only appearing later at runtime due to some game action.

Re: click & copy

Thank you for your advice. I guess I can't do exactly what I need to. It might still work, it will just be exponentially harder. Once, again thanks.
