Re: Scratch Desktop Theme

I made a theme.  You can extract it anywhere (don't open it from the zip file).  Somewhere you can find it.

So, with that said, try it out!

***Read ALL of the Instructions Before You Download It***
Instructions:
1. In My Documents, create a folder for your themes (My Themes is a good name)
2.  Click here and click save.
3. Save it in the folder you created earlier
4. Next, click open
5. On the left hand side somewhere there should be choice (under folder tasks), extract all. Click it and go through the wizard.
6. You will be opened in a new window with two themes. Scratch and Scratch2.
7. Go to the Start menu, click control panel, appearance and themes, change the computer's theme.
8. You should see a large window with a picture of your current theme.
There should be the text Theme. Underneath there is the name of your current theme. Click the arrow to bring down the list. You should see a list of all your themes. Click on Scratch (or Scratch2 depending on which you copied).
9. If you dont see Scratch or (Scratch2), click browse and try to find it.
10. Click Ok.

does this work for Mac's?

You need to include EVERYTHING in the zip folder, or else it won't work.

1) Get all of the files included in your theme and put them in the folder with the theme (I'm gonna call the folder Z for now).

2) Open up the theme (not Z) and relocate all of the stuff (background, icons, etc.) to the copies in the folder (Z).

Then, copy the folder and upload that.

how do you upload a folder?

Re: Scratch Desktop Theme

I don't think it works for mac- considering it doesn't even work for windows.

Well you would need to find a web site where you can upload files. It's a ZIP folder (considered a file), not a folder folder.

I can't think of a site off the top of my head, but Google file storage or something like that and I'm sure you will find something.

Try either one of these, though I doubt they'll work:

All I did was edit my theme, save it, put it into a ZIP folder, and upload it.
